ghaskett Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 (edited) Does anyone know of anyone making heavy duty front sway bars to replace the worthless factory stock one for 56 Special, Century. There was some discussion back in 2010, but Mr. Dole (The person named) is no longer involved in that area. I vaguely remember someone was making and selling a heavy duty 1" version roughly five years ago, and obviously, I've forgotten who, what, where and when. Thanks Edited July 30, 2018 by ghaskett name correction (see edit history)
Leif Holmberg Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 My memory say”brad in wisconcin”??????? Leif in Sweden 1
Beemon Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 No one has made any in quite some time. There has been a lot of interest lately so that may change. 1
ghaskett Posted July 30, 2018 Author Posted July 30, 2018 Thanks for the input. My '56 is lowered 3" and has a JAG IRS with posi. The rear is firmly planted, but I sense a slight roll up front and want to stiffen that up. A bar from Sweden is great, but shipping to the lower 48 makes it REAL pricey and with the BS tariffs, who knows?

No one is making Sway Bars in Sweden . 5-10 years ago if I remember right his name on this forum was "brad in Wisconsin"??????? who had sway bars made,I`m sure Mr Earl 1954 Buick know who it was? Leif Holmberg Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 (edited) This`s from 2013 advertising on this forum. As you see it`s "brad54" instead of "brad in wisconcin" as I wrote! Leif in Sweden. Edited July 31, 2018 by Leif Holmberg (see edit history)
Airy Cat Posted August 12, 2018 Posted August 12, 2018 I bought 3 of them for my '54,'55 and '56 Buicks when they were available and I swear by them. No more wallowing around corners in mountain roads. The guy that made them is no longer producing them.
