It appears the flyer thread has been deleted in its entirety. The thread was relevent and everyone went out of their way to be respectfull to other posters. The thread was interesting and entertaining. Could the moderator that deleted it at least explain the rational for the deletion?......bob

While the moderators don't typically discuss moderation publicly, your accusation is false. A moderator did not delete the thread. You should ask the original poster why he deleted his discussion.

Not an accusation, matt, but rather an assumption. Deletions are overwelmingly performed by a moderator so my assumption of that being the case is, i hope, understandable and forgivable........bob

I deleted it. It was getting crazy. People were taking sides like we're enemies, not people who enjoy the same hobby. I don't want that and I don't want to be the catalyst for it. I thought it would be the kind of thing that some people would feel like I did and some would disagree, but I didn't think it would polarize people so strongly. We're friends here; I don't want to do anything that would be divisive.

Flyers are a fact of life at car shows. We'll continue to live with them, some will appreciate them and some will find them annoying. The volunteers who put on local shows are appreciated.

The End.

Well said, Matt Harwood.

In the end, what is needed in all car-hobby interactions are the same two words I constantly preached to my two sons as they were growing into young adults:

"We all owe everyone we meet two essential things...COURTESY, and RESPECT."
