STAYGOLD Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 Trying to figure out the original application for this Kelsey-Hayes steel wheel. My first thoughts are military usage, because of the unique design and green paint, but can't find a match. It's a 15" x 4-1/2", 5 lug x 5-1/2" bolt pattern with a 4" hub opening. Marked "Kelsey Hayes," and dated "5-52". Any ideas?
Fleek Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 Sure looks like a front tractor wheel. The only odd thing is the 5 bolt pattern. Almost all the tractors used a 6 hole Even the smaller tractors like the Ford 8-N were 6 hole.
Fleek Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 With the holes to bolt on weights, it would be for a tractor. I found an old Massey Harris 22 with 5 hole lugs and wheel weights, but do not think the wheels are the same.
