Looking for a parking brake equalizer for a '41 Special.  My cables were/are inop (and strapped to the torque tube to keep them out of the way), so I'm not sure if I need one that's specific to this year/model or if it's interchangeable with something else.
Thanks!

I have brand-new rear cables which I just (partially) installed.  The equalizer is completely missing, so I have no way of attaching the front cable with the rear.

Thanks!

  Sorry I misunderstood your problem.

 I'm afraid I'm not familiar with 41's. According to my parts manual Group 4.764 SHEAVE, Rear brake cable (parking brake equalizer) for 1941 would have a part number of 1308356. If that's the part you need it would fit 1939 to 1946 inclusive. You might want to give Dave Tacheny a call.

Here is a photo of the equalizer on my '39 Buick.  Taken when the adjusting stud pulled loose from the front brake cable,  Pretty simple to make one if you wanted to.

 If the cables can't be adjusted any tighter because they are stretched you can purchase emergency brake cable adjusters to take up slack. Available at many places but here is an example of what is on one of my cars;

Carl

I use those adjusters on my 39 Special.
