Brushes for starter motor

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I'm looking for a set of brushes for the starter motor. The motor was manufactured by the North East Electric Co. The motor is the model SBH. The brush holders have the number 7063. The brushes have the number 17085P.

Anyone out there knowing where to purchase?

Easy starting and safe motoring........

There are oodles of brushes on eBay. The numbers you quote probably won't help. If it were mine, I would look for brushes by size and style - i.e. how the wire connects to them.

You could try Myers and Bernbaum.

Did you ever locate the brushes you were looking for? I just purchased several thousand starter and generator brushes from a guy. I have 4 with the 17085P OE part number on them. I have 12 aftermarket standard brand in stock as well. If you are still in need let me know.

Hi Jeff,

Thank you very much for contacting me today.

I am still very interested in a set of brushes (17085P) for the starter motor.

Would you be willing to send to Australia? Please let me know your price including postage.

It was great to receive the good news from you!

Cheers,

Yes we can ship to Australia. Using a USPS flat rate padded envelope it will cost $35.95USDS to ship. I have a price of $10.00USD per brush. Do you want the oe northeast set or a set of aftermarket?

Wow, the postage is enough to make your eyes water! Have you asked around the electrical suppliers? You can make big ones smaller of course, and there may be a bit of leeway in where the wire comes out.

Thank you Jeff,

The northeast set sounds good - should be a perfect fit.

Can I settle the purchase through PayPal?
