auburnseeker
But wait I didn't think plain Jane cars back then had White Walls. Hmm? Wish I could have built my new garage to look like that. Though it's big enough some day I hope to build a Faux Service Station inside at the end. Maybe even a tiny street scape. It would be a good way to display my signs rather than just plastering them on a wall.

Ozstatman
Not always so easy to tell. Had a '46 Ford 50 years ago with 18" 32 wire wheels on it! Young, money an issue, so used what was available. That's my "excuse".
Dave Mellor NJ
It's fairly easy to use early wires on 40-48 Fords and vice versa but using wide 5s on an earlier car is quite a different story. I had an old time used car salesman tell me he used to put a 36 front end on a 35 and get maybe $50 more for a car as a 36 instead of a 35. Things like that make people think some 36s had wires. keithb7
I just got lost in that web site for an hour. Wow. Great selection of vintage pics. Very well catalogued too. I have tons of new wall paper pics now. Thanks for the link!
