TRUNK GASKET

Note the splice at the rear center. Just pull the weatherstrip off gently with the fingers. Should come off in one piece. There is a sealant used on the metal flange to secure the weatherstrip.

No, the trunk weatherstrip is no longer available. All stock have been exhausted. smile.gif

I too have to replace my trunk gasket. I was one of those lucker ones who got a new gasket before they where gone. My question is that when you install the new gasket how do you fuse the splice, heat, chemical, glue? Not sure any ideas? Thanks in advance. Rob Eaton

The new weatherstrip comes factory glued with a black substance where the splice is. It doesn't take much abuse for the splice to seperate. I would reglue with a black weatherstrip adhesive before mounting in the car. smile.gif
