TheRelic Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 I am trying to figure out what vehicle this trim came from. I haven't found any numbers on it yet. The black and silver wide trim pieces are 4 inches wide. I am hoping that the pieces with the rectangular openings will help figure this out. I was thinking they may be for the turn signals. Also, wondering if it might be from a truck or a van. I've tried a lot of image searches on google to see if I can find anything, but no luck yet.
auburnseeker Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 It looks a lot like truck trim from the '70s. Similar but not right for Ford and Chevy was a fair amount different. Possibly Dodge or even IH. The single/ park light surrounds I'm sure will positively ID it. They aren't cast parts with a number, are they? I know you said no numbers, but they look cast to me so they would have even a casting number if so.
auburnseeker Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Dodge offered a lot of trim packages on their trucks. This one is quite similar. The wheel well moldings seem very close. May be a match if you find the right year. I think this came up under a 1979 Dodge image search. Some used signal light/park light housings that were different but some matched this one. 1
TheRelic Posted March 1, 2018 Author Posted March 1, 2018 Thanks for the info, got me on the correct track. Looks most closely to the 1989 Dodge Ram trim.
auburnseeker Posted March 1, 2018 Posted March 1, 2018 Surprising it's that new, but now I remember Dodge hung onto the older body style longer than Ford and GM.
