Allan V
Hello, I recently bought some land in Colorado and while walking in a draw we ran across this old car, half buried. Can anyone help determine what it is? It has wooden framing supporting the metal body, 2 door sedan, and it has a roof opening that also has wooden framing. Any help is greatly appreciated! I am no expert but it sort of leeks like a 33 Plymouth, or similar. I plan to dig it up and see what's there, just for the novelty of it. Thanks! nzcarnerd
Wood frame body - more likely to be GM? Maybe some accurate dimensions would help? The rear window shape suggests Chevrolet - maybe.
Spinneyhill
Maybe like this 1933 Chev. I found on the www? Edited February 23, 2018 by Spinneyhill (see edit history)
Dave Henderson
Looks like you may have nailed it Spinney, a dash picture could verify it. Could also be a '34 or a '35 Standard, or maybe a Pontiac or Olds of the same era.
Allan V
Thanks for the quick input! I will start digging it out in a week and will update with some measurements and more photos. Thanks again.
JACK M
It will look much better out by the mailbox than buried in the draw. Don't dent it up to much.
Guest
Cool discovery! I love finding abandoned stuff like this. Could make a great piece of yard art. Please keep us updated on this urban archaeology! Greg
