Lesabre T-type Chris Posted February 13, 2018 Posted February 13, 2018 Hello, Does anyone know where the RPO tag was placed on the 1977-78 Rivieras? I have a 1977. I have already checked the glove box and inside the trunk lid--no luck. Any leads are appreciated! Chris
Seafoam65 Posted February 13, 2018 Posted February 13, 2018 If you are referring to the white sticker that lists all the options on the car, I don't think GM was installing these on cars back in the 70's. As I recall they started doing that around 1980 or so. The only place I've ever seen them is on the underside of the deck lid, in the door jamb or in the glovebox. If you have looked in those 3 places I don't believe your car has one.
Pat Curran Posted February 13, 2018 Posted February 13, 2018 They also stuck them on the hard cover for the spare tire well but like you stated, I don't think they were doing it in 1977.
NC1968Riviera Posted February 13, 2018 Posted February 13, 2018 GM put RPO stickers on the inside glovebox doors of late '60's/early '70's C/K pickup trucks, but I have not seen them on any other GM vehicles from that era, until sometime in the '80's. Have you looked under the seats for a build sheet?
