37PackardMan Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 Just thought I would post this as an informational item. Back in the 1960s I was driving through the back roads of Virginia and stopped at a General Store. I asked the owner if he had any old car parts. We went upstairs and found this Tillotson carb in the box. There were also high button shoes on the shelves and a pine box coffin standing in the corner. I know there are a lot of Model As on the road using the Tillotson, but I have often wondered how many Tillotson boxes have survived. 2
Dave Mellor NJ Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 Back in their day they say you could buy a brand new Tillotson cheaper than repairing the Zenith, probably $5. That's why they're so prevalent. It is unusual to see the original box just like it would be for anything
