CLUTCH AND BRAKE PEDAL BUSHINGS

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have a source for  brake and clutch pedal bushings. This are brass bushings for the pedals where they slide onto the shaft that comes off the frame. Some wear on that shaft as well as I suspect the bushings so would like to replace them. There is side to side movement on the pedals.

Thanks

Dave

Take one out and measure it. Chances are McMaster-Carr has something on size or that can be modified to fit.....................Bob

Brass bushings are common with industrial engineering bearing / transmission suppliers.

Ask for by the dimensions.

Do not ask for a "car part".  Some industrial guys will tell you they do not sell car parts.

The same part purchased as a "car part" will be several times the cost as an "engineering" part

If you are going to have it apart why not get a machine shop to make you a new shaft and then it is good for another 80 years and it will all have been taken care of and not have to be taken apart again because you were not satisfied with the new bushings only repair.
