Last week our amp meter got fried when a wire shorted.

I'm sure that Packard did not make the meter, so it was probably used in other applications.

If you have a spare that looks like this, please respond.

If you can not find one , why not get yours rebuilt ? Yes , they are delicate , so servicing them should be routine. See if Atwater Kent can help you.   www.mykmlifestyle.com     They rebuild all sorts of electrical equipment , among which are fuel tank level senders. They did my 1927 Cadillac sender , works great ! Let us know if they do ammeters , and cost.    - Carl
