DB26 Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 Hello everyone and happy new year. I would like to add period correct turn signals to my 1926 Dodge and am looking for a set. Thank you
one-shot Posted January 13, 2018 Posted January 13, 2018 Do you have a pic of what your looking for? Harold
DB26 Posted January 13, 2018 Author Posted January 13, 2018 Yes, I would like something like these safeturn signals that mount of the visor above the windshield: Or something like this that mounts on the rear:
one-shot Posted January 13, 2018 Posted January 13, 2018 Many moons ago, I had units similar to the rear mount in the "what is it section". Somewhere in my IKEA wood boxes are the 2 or 3 units (all the same design). That could easy make a good one. After I get over this flu. Harold
J.H.Boland Posted January 13, 2018 Posted January 13, 2018 (edited) Check "34LaSalleclubsedan"'s posting in Parts for Sale section, currently at the bottom of page 3.He has a number of different ones available under "Rare 1920s,1930,s parts and accessories". C Carl Posted January 16, 2018 Posted January 16, 2018 (edited) Happy Birthday , DB26 ! Great to see you are still in your 20s ! As you are rather new here , you probably have not seen pics of these mounted on my cars. This is exactly a mid '20s accessory , I believe they came out in '24. Here on my 1927 Cadillac , you can see how they extend. I have a flasher in mine , but need a brighter bulb. They also look pretty good on the backside of cars with a simple , uncluttered , symmetrical rear presentation. This is my 1924 Cadillac. Grind on that Mark Shaw ! ? Make him an offer he can't refuse ! ? Good luck , birthday boy ! - Carl P.S. , Please show us pics of your car. Inside , out , and engine. Thank you for the birthday wishes. I like the rear mounted look a lot. I'll make sure to post plenty of pics of my car very soon.
