Warning Light With bracket---What Does It Fit?

I recently came across this in a box I haven't opened in years.  I'm thinking it's an emergency brake warning light.  The pigtail is about 7" long and there's a male bullet connector on the end.  I can't find any markings on it and googled with no luck.  Any idea what it fits?

Has to have some parts missing for an emergency brake light. But that is what it look like.

How big is it and what is the spring for? Is it a push switch?

My guess would be (with that bullet end) something Ford mid fifties? possibly up into the early sixties.

The original wiring on my '55 Thunderbird has those type connectors.

The spring holds the red lens and bezel into the chrome bracket.  The wire is the power lead for the light bulb. There should be some kind of 'push in and turn' arrangement to access the bulb but so far I haven't gotten it open.

Now that you mention it, the connector does look 'Ford-ish'.  Good point.
