jscheib Posted December 25, 2017 Posted December 25, 2017 Mr. Earl, Based on Elpad's recent post on the Opel page, ZI am suggesting we create a new topic for most interesting car trip write-up. What do you think? I certainly would like to know more about the trip to Mexico. I am reminded, while I was away in the Air Force an couple of friends also decided to drive to Mexico in a 1940 Ford (this in 1957). Hit a deer, and had to mount to radiator up-side-down until the could get a better fix in a bigger city. Glad I was not along on that trip. John
Mark Shaw Posted December 25, 2017 Posted December 25, 2017 (edited) We saw a very well done presentation on our HCCA Northern Brass Lights Tour in Edmonton. Two Canadian guys drove an in-restored (Dodge?) to the end of the road in the most northern outpost in North America. The car was prepped with extra heaters and a double windshield, but they ran old original knobby tires. They had no tire issues until they got back home... But, it wasn't on this forum.... 60FlatTop Posted December 25, 2017 Posted December 25, 2017 This book, Adventure South was available through our central library from the stacks. I enjoyed the book a lot and the videos are worth the time to watch.
MrEarl Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 Go for it John, I’m sure you’ve made a few memorable trips in your time. I’ll suggest a title though.... maybe “Trips Down the Buick Highway”
