BatRestorer Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 (edited) I am building a replica of the Mongrel T. It was driven by Elvis in the movie "Easy Come Easy Go" and later used in in the Batman TV show as The Jokermobile. Trying to figure out what kind of rims these are. Does anyone recognize them? They do not have wood spokes, the spokes are actually just covered with naugahyde. Any help would be appreciated. Edited December 9, 2017 by BatRestorer (see edit history)
Grimy Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 Those are wheels, not rims. A rim mounts on a wheel. Sorry to be an old-school nit-picker here.... 2 1
keiser31 Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 (edited) I inquired on another site where someone there might know. I will let you know if I get an answer. Edited December 9, 2017 by keiser31 (see edit history)
keiser31 Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 This is the response I got...." I believe they are Mickey Thompson wheels...the Mcmullen roadster wore a pair for a short time..."
keiser31 Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 The second reply from the guy with the information...." No problem...i'm a mag wheel nut. I have 3 of these wheels...told they are called Walker Foundry wheels...its where Mcmullen supposedly worked..."

I was in the process of restoring a 1966 Batmobile when I joined this site, and sought help here for identification of certain dashboard items, hence the user name Batrestorer
BatRestorer Posted December 9, 2017 Author Posted December 9, 2017 Thank you so much Keiser31! Really appreciate the help. 1
