Wheelmang Posted December 6, 2017 Posted December 6, 2017 Started up my 26 DB this afternoon and the engine took off racing. I then noticed that the gas pedal was on the floor. The return spring broke and I cannot for the life of me see where it was connected. Could someone please supply a picture of their connection and also what the length of a replacement spring should be when compressed. Thanks so much for your help. Paul
Kenendcindyc Posted December 7, 2017 Posted December 7, 2017 It should connect to that tab that's on the shaft seen in the first picture. Just slide it up the shaft to the correct position to adjust tension and the pressure from the spring will hold it there. Some shafts have little bumps that help hold the tab in place on the shaft. 1
Kenendcindyc Posted December 7, 2017 Posted December 7, 2017 I have a 28 so it's different, but appears to work the same way. If you want I'll go take a picture just let me know. 1
Wheelmang Posted December 7, 2017 Author Posted December 7, 2017 Thanks both. I see that tab now. I need to keep reminding myself of the simplicity of this car. Off to find a spring.
