Alan Franklin
Would someone please post a picture of a 1938 Plymouth sedan trunk support. If the one I have is the correct one where it slides up and down inside of itself does anyone know or you can buy parts for it thank you . CHuDWah
I don't have a pic and the following is for a coupe - dunno if sedan is different but FWIW... The support is on the driver side only and does not telescope. It is hinged in the middle and has a latch to hold it open - the latch is just a stud on the end of the lower half and a bracket with a half-circle cut-out on the upper half. To engage the latch, you raise the lid, straighten the support and lower the lid a bit to position the half-circle over the stud. To lower the lid, you raise it a bit to disengage the latch - no spring assist on the lid and it's heavy!
