keiser31 Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 (edited) You might try some WD-40. Try to shoot it into the pin hole and let it soak. They can be stuck on there pretty good, sometimes. They are pot metal, so be VERY careful. There ARE some out there to be had in case you break one. Do a lot of wiggling back and forth of the part and it may come loose after the soak. JFranklin Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 Some say WD-40 will swell or damage pot metal so maybe just use some light oil.

You may be correct on this. I know that these handles bond themselves to the shaft. Edited December 4, 2017 by keiser31 (see edit history)

I wonder what the physics of that would be. Pot metal contains zinc, which oxidises with time, causing the pot metal to swell. I can't see how WD-40 would cause it to swell. Best penetrating fluid is 50-50 acetone and automatic transmission fluid.
