oldcarfudd
Sorry, that should have been a 1908.
Dave39MD
Nice car, same body style. I can't see a windshield in my picture but other shots clearly show one. Thanks Dave
gwells
Dave, Windshields were an option on most cars in that timeframe, though most did have them.
oldcarfudd
I rode in that '08 back when Art Wilkinson had it. It had no top or windshield then, a fact that was brought to my attention when it started to rain.
Dave Mellor NJ
The fender on the 08 is more of a match than the
keiser31
I agree it is more like the 1908.
Dave39MD
Yes, I see what you mean on the shape. I am going with 1908. Thanks Dave
emjay
If you are referring to the slope of the fender and the resulting difference in running board length, could that have been due to the body style difference instead of year change? On the other hand the reference cars have drastically different cowl/firewall treatment and the top of the hood is different. In a way the runabout actually looks newer. Your second photo shows the cowl of the runabout reference car. It appears that your grandfather added the windshield between the first and second photo. I see no braces for the windshield in the first photo. Edited November 29, 2017 by emjay additional comment (see edit history)
