1990 Reatta Coupe, lately the warning light electrical problem is on and the a/c temp goes to 75 and the defrost light button lights up, cannot turn off the a/c or change modes, this is when the motor is on controls for climate control not responsive. If I just put the car ignition on accessory then the a/c control works perfectly. Any ideas???

I hate to say this but, If those ideas don't fix the problem?   It sounds like the c201 connector is grounding out internally.

Which is the c201 connector, the temp goes to 75 and defrost lights up, cannot control the climate panel, when I shut engine off restart it goes away

The c201 connector is located behind the dash ( the dash has to come out) and I would rather be wrong then right. But the c201 connector is used to join the two halfs of the dash harness together. ( on Ronnie's Reatte forum Ronnie downloaded a picture of it) GM in their infinite wisdom incorporated the c201 connector as a means to be multi-functional. Inside the connector on both sides a copper wire is laced in and out to various contacts. This copper wire is NOT insulated and can and will move which if it makes contact with contacts it's not suppose to, problems accure. I had a multitude of problems because of this and had to remove the dash ( after I had exhausted all other possibilities) There is an orange wire  locaded in the far rt. corner that is prone to burn and lose contact this wire controls a lot of systems. I had to cut the wire out of the c201 and re-connect it with male and female spades also I took the c201 connector apart and re-arranged the copper wire (on both sides of the connector and coated the wire with silicone sealant.  I hope you don't have to do this job because it is not fun. But if you do........The silver lining is...You will get to practice all of the swear words you have in your vocabulary .
