rareindian
I posted once before but thought I would try again. I have a future project that I've been collecting parts for: 1931 Pontiac Cabriolet Coupe. 1931 & 1932 Pontiac/Oakland, Oldsmobile, and Chevrolet all shared the relatively same cast windshield assembly to my understanding with exception of the center medallion that ties the two cowl bases together. I have everything except the windshield posts. Does anyone have a pair they would be willing to part with to save another one? Or does anyone have information on reproduction castings? Any help would be appreciated! Rick Kingston Springs, TN 615-504-4801

What is the filler material, solder or brass?

plk
Hi Rick These W/S stantions are original and are diecast zinc. The first pair have had the rounded part broken and repaired and the holes welded up with zinc. The repairs on the round part should be redone as they do not look strong enough to me. 1 of the parts that go into the top header bar has been broken and repaired. The second pair are much nicer and would only need the 1 round part repaired. Surface finish is good and would replate nicely. I will sell all the pieces in the pics, 4 stantions and the other 2 pieces for $125. shipped to you. Pete Kelly
