Any reputable pot metal restorers out there?

Recommended Posts

I am looking for a reputable person or company that can restore chromed pot metal trim parts (specifically 1968 Riviera tail light bezels). Someone who can remove the old chrome, remove the bubbles and pits, smooth the surfaces and re-chrome the parts. Job quality is important.

Any reputable chrome plater can repair pot metal. You won't find anyone to do it cheaply and do it well.

Thanks for the feedback. Your statement is a repeated theme in several of the responses I am receiving.

S&H chrome in Tenn. repaired the broken and pitted pot metal grilles on a 1940 Zephyr that i am working on, and look beautiful. They also did pot metal trunk hinges , and the rest of the chrome, and I would highly recommend them.

Thank you for the feedback. I sent S&H an email this morning after receiving your recommendation.

I've always had excellent results with anything they have done for me. I have always talked with Matt.

I have personally seen excellent results from Qual Krom in Erie, PA. They have even repaired broken pot metal emblems and plated them. The process is extremely labor intensive, and thus priced to match.

By the way, it is not necessary to spam the exact same question into every sub-forum on this site.
