I know very little about Mopar parts.

I bought out 30 inventories from former Studebaker dealers.

I ended up with a lot of Mopar parts because some dealers handled both makes.

Often the dealer did not want to part with the parts drawers and I ended up dumping the contents in a plastic bin , loosing the part numbers except when they had tags,

I also ended up with loose tags and no part attached.

I have a number of part tags that give a part number and the notation Chrysler xxxxxx

With the Studebaker parts I have parts lists and can determine what the part is but I do not have 1930's Chrysler parts lists.

What is part number 42115 noted for Model 50 Chrysler.

I am in Joliet Illinois and want to meet with a Mopar expert/vendor to sort out the Mopar parts.

I also had a lot of Hudson parts that I want to trade with a Hudson dealer.

I can't help you with that specific part number as it is not in my Plymouth parts books. But I can tell you it is very early based on the low number.

I have a very small subset of Chrysler part numbers on line on my website at http://www.ply33.com/Parts/numeric

There is a chance that if a 1920s through 1940s Plymouth used a part you are interested in and I've found some information about it then it could be in my database. You can search by part number, part name or by the later "part type code" that they started using in later parts books.

Part number 42115 are Valve Tappets for Chrysler Models 58 and 52 and for 1928 -29 4 cyl. Fargo trucks but not for the Chrysler model 50 according to the Chrysler Master parts list June 15th 1934.

Thanks for the responses.

Tod that is an impressive website.

I am 81 years old and love to sift through old parts stashes.

I feel like an archeologist.

I found 42115 in there.

It indeed is listed for a Chrysler Model 50 and others

There are a number of tappets in these bins.

I will sort these and post some pictures.

Does anyone need some of these 42115 valve tappets?

I don't need them now, but I can tell you, the part that rubs on the camshaft is a casting that is pushed into a steel sleeve on these tappets and I had one break on my model 52. I would recommend that anyone rebuilding one of these engines should try to fit NOS ones or do as I did and machine up new ones out of solid stock.
