I'm no Maxwell expert, but wasn't "The good Maxwell" just before Walter P Chrysler changed it over to his brand? That would put this book in the early '20s. Very cool find.

Hi Thanks for your information these have been family owned since this book was new, but its last owner my uncle cant tell me anything about it.

Only that his father had it the book that is, he was a lorry driver for william whitelys in surrey england and was a chauffeur before that we heard for william whitely.

Serial numbers 337101 to  388539 are 1922 Maxwell's.

Serial numbers 388530 to 444231 are 1923 Maxwell's.
