Paul K. Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 Hi All, I am looking at a 72 Pontiac Grand Prix. Does anyone know if GM stamped a VIN on the frame of their cars that matches the tag on the dash at the base of the windshield? If so, where on the frame? I posted this in the Pontiac site but thought I would also ask my Riviera Brothers too. Thanks!
68RIVGS Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 They did stamp the VIN number on the '66 frame on Riviers. Jason Zerbini had found his on the '66 'frame off', in two locations as I recall, that he brought to the ROA annual meet in Hershey, PA 2010. Don't know about the tin Indians ? 1
Seafoam65 Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 The VIN number on your GP is stamped on top of the frame rail behind the left rear tire. You can see it with a flashlight and a mirror if you have the car on a lift.
