West Peterson Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 This appears to be a 1925 Studebaker to me, but the hood louver pattern seems odd to me for that early of a Studebaker.
TheMoneyPit Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 Looks exactly like the 1924 Special Six I owned 25 years ago...
West Peterson Posted October 16, 2017 Author Posted October 16, 2017 Hood louvers, too? That's what's throwing me.
TheMoneyPit Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 No, you’re right on that, mine were evenly spaced. But every other detail fits including the grab handle behind the front door and the pattern on the kick plates... I wonder if the louvres were different in 23?
West Peterson Posted October 16, 2017 Author Posted October 16, 2017 Maybe it's just a moray pattern showing up on the low-res file, but it sure looks like the same pattern Studebaker used in later years.
TheMoneyPit Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 I could be wrong but I thought that body style was not continued later than 1924. It also appears to have a cowl light outside of the windshield frame which is what made me think earlier years... I suppose it could be a very similar look on a completely different make, but I don’t think that it is.

I could say, "If you can't think of more than one way to spell a word, you're not being very creative." But I won't.

Yes it does remind you of the 1929 era look. Re the moiré pattern, of course we should add the acute accent to the e. The one I used earlier in this sentence came up automatically with the dictionary options but there are other ways of adding it. http://ccm.net/faq/50342-type-e-with-an-acute-accent I haven't tried them yet though. I don' think there is any doubt the car is a Studebaker -
nzcarnerd Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 Moiré - pronounced 'mwarei' - http://www.dictionary.com/browse/moire?s=t
