Looking for a source for a 64 880 hardtop wagon door weather strip. I believe it is the same as the 60-64 Chrysler hardtop wagons . Thanks for any help on this.

Have you contacted Metro Moulded Rubber Parts in Coon Rapids, MN? They manufacture a LOT of this kind of thing.

If they don't have your exact door weatherstrip, you should find out exactly HOW the parts for your car are different. from other weatherstrips that they may have available for similar car models. For example,  your car might use the same molded rubber end-pieces of the strips...and perhaps even the same extrusions in the middle, but be a different overall length than what is required for a 2 door model. If this is the case, Metro might be able to make a set for you in different length.

The way door weatherstrips are manufactured is that "ropes" of extruded rubber are cut to specific lengths, and then the ends are inserted through a hole in the side of an aluminum 2-piece die. Then molten rubber is injected into the die, where it forms the shape of the molded end, while encapsulating any metal reinforcement pieces inside. The molten rubber also fuses itself onto the end of the "rope" extrusion. Anchor pins have already been added to the "rope," and so now you have a completed door weatherstrip (except for trimming the flash excess from the molded ends).

Anyway, this means that, IF the weather strips for your wagon are not available, it MIGHT be because they are different lengths from other weather strips for 2 door models. And if Metro cannot custom make strips for you, they might at least be able to sell you components which you can glue together. There are some excellent rubber glues available these days.

Call Metro and find out if they have door weatherstrips available for your car. If not, find out if they have weatherstrips available for any similar models. If so, then you should be able to solve this problem one way or another.
