gegrunt Posted October 7, 2017 Posted October 7, 2017 This set of patch panels looks like they will fit the lower front section of the rear fender on 1941 Dodge and Chrysler cars. Does anybody know if they will work on other years of Mopar cars?
gegrunt Posted October 9, 2017 Author Posted October 9, 2017 Hi Jack, thanks for taking the time to reply, I was basing my guess on this picture that I found on an ebay auction for a 1941 Chrysler Dodge DeSoto right rear fender, if I am correct this panel would replace the bottom front of the fender where it bolts to the wheel house of the rear quarter, the two holes in the panel would for the fender mounting bolts. I assume that this car had running boards but I do not see where they would attach to the front bottom of the rear fender.
JACK M Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 This is a 48 Chrysler parts car that I have. Also a 46 bus coupe. These fenders look way narrower than what is marked on your parts in question. I was thinking maybe the front of front fenders but still not right.
keiser31 Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 (edited) Those would be for 1941 only. Later models had the hidden running board and different rear fender treatment. Running boards were optional in 1941. Edited October 9, 2017 by keiser31 (see edit history)
JACK M Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 There you go. I believe Keiser. Parts are mismarked.
