See this car in Hershey Car Corral spaces B67-B69!

Well, it seems that the 1936 Auburn doesn't want to go to Hershey and killed its generator while sitting still in the shop, so the back-up is my absolute favorite car, this lovely 1941 Buick Super convertible coupe. This car has a known history from new and was an AACA National First Prize winner about ten years ago, so it has mellowed to a very nice driver. Original English Green with green leather color combination and even if you don't like green cars, I suspect you'll like this one. Everyone just stops and gawks at it and I find it a pleasing alternative to all the burgundy and black ones floating around. Paint and bodywork are still quite good with only a few very minor signs of use. Chrome and stainless are also very good to excellent, with only some very, very minor pitting on the grille, which is probably inevitable given the material. Equipped with rare bumper ends ("elephant ears"), spot light, and fog lamps. Leather interior is beautifully done with correct pleats up front and smooth back seat. Beautiful engine-turned panels and beautiful re-cast plastic, original gauges are showing some age and the speedometer is inoperable, but I have a spare that I'm going to install. Radio and clock, as expected, do not work. Everything else is good, wipers, lights, signals, horn, etc. Nice tan canvas convertible top and fully finished trunk.

Engine was fully rebuilt and runs superbly. Push the starter and it fires almost instantly and settles into an almost inaudible idle--this car is so quiet that it startles people as it creeps up on them walking. Plenty of power and it cruises happily at 55-60 MPH. You'll note that it has only one carb but all Supers in 1941 had dual carbs--it was likely changed decades ago for the usual reasons. I have most of the required parts to make it a dual carb car, but it runs so well and the dual carbs make such a minor difference in performance that I'm reluctant to take it apart. If they buyer really wants dual carbs, we can discuss it, but I'd recommend leaving it alone. Shifts beautifully, tracks straight, rides well, and has no bad habits at all. Solid, clean undercarriage that's been undercoated but not so heavily that you can't see the details. Recent Firestone wide whites on color-matched 16-inch wheels.

Includes lots of paperwork, manuals, history, tools, jack assembly, and more!

I love this car and have been driving it all summer because my Limited was laid up with a bum leg. It has never hesitated, stuttered, coughed, or given me a moment's trouble. It's a delight to drive and it is just gorgeous to look at. I have not promoted it heavily since I"m not really interested in selling it, but it is available for $59,900, which is the going price for a good one and the price that will make me release my grip on the keys. It's in my trailer right now and I'll be driving it around Hershey all week. Stop me and ask for a ride and you'll be impressed and I can promise the next owner will not want to let go, either.

See you in Hershey!
