Timer

What do most people use as a timer on their model T. There is such an variety what one is the most reliable??? Must be some experienced T folks here that have an opinion on this.

I suspect there are more roller timers still in use than all the others put together.

About 3 years ago I had to replace the roller on the '19 Touring I just sold.

It made the engine miss despite the fact everything else was in good shape.

....... 

I cut one or two coils off of the coil spring to give the roller a little more tension and that cured the problem.

There is an Anderson timer in the '27 Tudor I bought about 5 years ago.

It hasn't given me one second of grief yet.......  .......If fact I drove it to church today.
