Paul Dobbin Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 (edited) Found this greeting card today, at a small church Craft Sale. Made by a church member who photo shopped all these current members in to the old car. Nobody had any idea what the car was. I guessed buy the right side Steering wheel that it was 1913 or older, but what make? I would bet Kieser31 will know. Edited September 30, 2017 by Paul Dobbin spelling (see edit history)
Layden B Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 How about 1911 Overland Is that the trademark script painted on the hood, just showing above the crown of the left front fender? 1
Terry Bond Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Yes believe Overland. The odd oval shaped radiator filler is unique. Looks like the writing is superimposed on the photograph rather than painted on the car itself. Terry
Taylormade Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 This is Photoshopped. The faces of the people have been added over the original folks,, as have the graphics on the side of the car.
Layden B Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 The oval filler is a feature of Kinwood brand radiators. While Overland was the largest purchaser, there were others that had this same filler, Stoddard-Dayton included.
capngrog Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Layden B and keiser 31, Try as I might, I can't make out any Willys name or script on the hood of the subject car. It's probably because I don't know how to enlarge the photo enough to see that detail. One detail I did notice, however, is the hubcap design which does appear to be that of a Willys Overland: Cheers, Grog
keiser31 Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 (edited) The Overland script is at the lower front of the top hood piece. It IS hard to read. Edited October 1, 2017 by keiser31 (see edit history) 1
intimeold Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Look at this pic, I can't make the image any bigger. Notice the man, with the hat at the right front fender.
capngrog Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Ah, yes, the man, with the hat at the right front fender. Now I see "it". Cheers, Grog
