Unknown 1930's era Trunk Rack & Trunk

Found this very nice trunk and rack today, trying to find out what it may have been fitted to. Trunk and rack match, trunk fits perfectly in the frame of rack, and came with 4 - 2x2 wood blocks which appear to have been used to space trunk off the rack. Slightly domed Trunk measures 36Longx15.5Deepx18High, rack measure 38&1/2" long x 17&3/8"deep. Outside measure of steel mounting brackets is 38.5", and mounting holes are 35&5/8"cc. Rack also has C-clamps to allow bolting to perhaps bumper outriggers.  The rack has the 5 chrome trims, and there is a 1/8" hole in  the top center bar for a possible "model" badge. All hardware included and in nice relatively rust free condition, including chrome pivot bolts. The original sticker was painted over, but we removed enough paint to read what appears to be "Kar King Autotrunks, and on the second label below, Made in Canada. Can anyone ID make/model/year this may have fitted?
