Guest Posted September 21, 2017 Posted September 21, 2017 Can anyone here recommend a fix for my '38 Plymouth grill emblem? It's not very big, as you can see, but some of the enamel/glass is chipped away. I've heard somebody redoes these. I'm wondering if it's worth redoing or am I better off looking for a suitable used emblem? Thanks, Greg
Laughing Coyote Posted September 21, 2017 Posted September 21, 2017 Greg. You can try this company. Not sure on cost, but maybe they can help you out. http://www.emblemagic.com/index.html
trimacar Posted September 21, 2017 Posted September 21, 2017 A woman named Maxwell does repair of emblems, supposed to be excellent.... http://www.maxwellenamels.com/FAQs.html
Terry Wiegand Posted September 21, 2017 Posted September 21, 2017 David, her name is Karla Maxwell. She is in Vista, California and her work is better than excellent. She has restored all three radiator emblems on our Buicks and they are simply beautiful. Her website is maxwellmetals I believe. Terry Wiegand South Hutchinson, Kansas 1
jpage Posted September 21, 2017 Posted September 21, 2017 I looked at the Maxwell site and her work looks very nice. I've also checked with Emblemmagic and they also do good work for around the same price. I need to get my '36 emblems done too. Emblemagic will also buy old parts but only pay a small fraction of the going prices.
