keninman
This popped up on FaceBook. I would love to have this project if I had the time, money and a place to keep it. https://www.ebth.com/items/6859440-1929-studebaker-fire-engine
nzcarnerd
Interesting vehicle which someone has to save, if only for its rarity. Just curious about which engine it has. The ignition part doesn't look like 1929 Studebaker. Unfortunately the picture with the engine casting date has the year obscured by a wire. Edit - found this one a 1931 Model 54 - which has the same engine, which is a redesign of the 205 used in 1930 when it still had the shaft driven distributor on the other side of the block.http://www.spudsgarage.com/vehicles/31Stude/ Edited September 15, 2017 by nzcarnerd (see edit history)

Of course we could not be sure that the engine in the fire truck has not been changed. From what I found on a post on the Studebaker Driver's Club forum it is a 1931 by its serial number of 3476648. http://forum.studebakerdriversclub.com/showthread.php?57885-1931-Studebaker-Fire-Truck-Information
