Guest lflarson Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 I have an 89 TC. When I got it home I noticed the passenger side carpet was wet. I found out that the heater coil under the dash was leaking. Is there an easier way to replace the coil than having to take the entire dash out of the car? I would appreciate any helpful advise I can get.
Garnet & Gold Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 Depending on where you live you can disconnect the heater in the engine compartment. If you live up north this puts your heater out of commission.
Guest lflarson Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 How do you disconnect the heater? Is it on the firewall? Do you have to connect the input and return hoses together? Thanks for the information.
Garnet & Gold Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 Here is a picture of the firewall showing that the hoses have been removed. There other end needs to be capped off for both lines. These lines are in front of the driver. Sorry don't have a picture of the other ends.
