Guest Wenche Brubak Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 Hello. I`m from Norway and my English is not so good, but I hope you understand We are looking for Dashboard/instruments to a 1930 Erskin, anyone now where we can search to find it ? We may need other parts to, so we are thankfull for all help we can get In forehand thanks for help Wenche
Guest Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 Wenche, welcome to the forums, this is a good place to start, you should also pose you question here http://forums.aaca.org/forum/21-studebaker-erskine-rockne/ the Studebaker guys will be sure to help you. IMHO (in my humble opinion) the Studebaker guys are the second most active on this page after the Buick guys. It makes me wish my Grandfather had bought a Buick or a Studebaker. I once owned a 26 Studebaker, what a great car. Good luck in your search.
Bud Tierney Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 Wenche, please be assured your english is far, far better than my Norwegian, which is nonexistent,,,, I assume you know your Erskine was built by Studebaker, one of the fine old names here, so I'd also suggest you also join one or more of the Studebaker products clubs; the largest, to my limited knowledge, would be the Studebaker Drivers Club, and probably the most likely to have affiliated clubs on the Continent and/or your area.... Stude had a robust export policy. and the Erskine was apparently more popular in Europe than here, having been introduced in Paris and London... You're also lucky, in a way---the 1930 Erskiine was, at least partly, a Stude,, sharing it's engine, and at least some front end parts with various 29-32 Stude models, which may make searching for other parts easier...however, I' d be surprised if the dashboard and trim would match... The SDC will be able to advise exactly which Stude parts would fit...Good luck in your restoration......
mercer09 Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 Hello Wenche, I live here in the US and find 70% of my parts on ebay. you should consider the same..................
Guest Wenche Brubak Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 I try on ebay, but I can`t find what I need And my English is not very good I don`t know what I should write to find the parts I`m looking for
TerryB Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 Dash instruments are usually amp gauge for battery, speedometer, oil pressure gauge, and fuel gauge. Other items might be ignition switch with a key to start the car and a headlight switch to turn the lights on. Terry

C Carl Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Hi Wenche ! Don't worry. You will find the way to find what you need here on AACA forums. And in the process your English will improve quite a bit. It is fun meeting the kind and knowledgable people here who will never give up on helping you , your family and your car. You are particularly fortunate in that our culture here still retains a charming chivalry. The gentlemen still are eager to help the ladies in need. You will see. By the way , with nostalgia , it has been over 50 years since I have seen the name Wenche. She was one of the very nicest , smartest students in one of the high schools I attended. She had a crush on me. ? Velkommen til AACA ! - Carl P.S. I think it would be a good idea to also post in Bokmal. This forum has a number of Scandinavian participants who could help with translating and locating parts. eBay certainly could be a problem for you. A totally bilingual Norwegian or Dane might be able to make eBay work for you. Sometimes I wish I could have stayed in Denmark for many of the last 50 years. I would be bilingual by now. - CC
John_S_in_Penna Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 The Antique Studebaker Club appreciates cars like your 1930 Erskine. Their website is http://www.theantiquestudebakerclub.com/. You could put a want-ad in their magazine. Surely, more than one of their members must have an Erskine. I think that club is the best way to find the parts you need. You should join, also; and maybe write a Letter to the Editor explaining your situation. People will want to help. The Studebaker Drivers' Club also appreciates Studebakers. However, they tend to focus on later models, such as from the 1950's and 1960's. The first club I mentioned is the best.
Guest Wenche Brubak Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 hi. here is a pic. of the car i ask for parts to. it`s a 1930 Erskine modell 53W. If you seek Tony André on facebook, you will find him who has the car. and he knows more aboute the car.

leelectricco Posted October 14, 2017 Posted October 14, 2017 I have an extra dash instrument cluster from a 1929 Erskine. Don't know if it was the same as 30 or not? Send me a picture of yours or I can send picture of what I have and see if it will work for you. Also have a few other extra 1929 parts for Erskine, including a radiator and radiator shell with Erskine porcelain ornament. This would cost much to ship there, I am sure. Gary
Hudsy Wudsy Posted October 15, 2017 Posted October 15, 2017 Here is a photo of a dashboard from "Google Images " which I found when I entered "Studebaker Erskine dashboard". This item apparently sold on ebay, but the photo is on Google. If you go to "Google Images" and type in "Studebaker Erskine dashboard", you will find it. By doing it this way, you will come across a link to the original ebay listing and additional information.
