Substitute for Marvel Model V carburetor 1930 Essex

Have a friend with a 1930 Essex. He needs a carb for it. He thinks it had a Marvel Model V originally. Are there other carbs that will work? I see Marvel tractor carbs on Ebay, but don't know it one of those would be the same as the one for his '30 Essex. Any help?

I would talk to "the carburetor shop" most likely he will have a suggestion.  He will probably have an original one on the shelf, rebuild yours or recommend a period correct replacement.

If you haven't already done so, you might want to pose this question on the Hudson Open Forum at http://forum.hetclub.org .  It may be that Essex owners have found an acceptable substitute, or someone might suggest where your friend could purchase an original Marvel V.
