ronbarn
The Marmon Club is a relatively small, but enthusiastic group of members perpetuating the history of Marmon cars made from 1902 to 1933. We have almost 300 members internationally. The Marmon New is published bi-monthly and won a Old Cars Weekly Golden Quill award this year. We do not expect an overwhelmingly active DF here but are open to any questions or inputs related to Marmon history, the cars, and personal interest in these vehicles. Thanks to AACA for their support with this portion of the DF

Guest
300 members is mighty active if u ask me. I belong to Indian motorcycle clubs and forums that only number about 500 at the max at any given time. They built alot more Indians than Marmons. I'd say 300 is ACTIVE!!
Guest
How many Marmons (all years and models) are accounted for?????? Has anyone determined the percentage of survivors compared to total production or by year????? This would be interesting statistics and i have a more broader idea to use them for rather than just Marmon.
ronbarn
That's a difficult question. We can only state that over 400 are registered as belnging to the just under 300 members or former members. Of, course we know there are others out there. Of the 390 Marmon Sixteens, we show 70 still around, but I know of several (mostly in really bad shape that we not list) others and several members have extra engines - no idea what happened to the rest of the cars. Guest
Guess i'll have to buy a Marmon so i can find a little controversy to create. Kind'a like i do up in Packard chat room. With 300 members it seems to me this chat room should be fairly active. If noone is interested in their cars then sell them to me!
Guest 10RA84
Well, I guess many Marmon owners tend to be "older gentlemen" who are not so web oriented as we are... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/icons/grin.gif" alt="" /> Jyrki
ronbarn
Jyrki, Unfortunately there are not that many members who visit the net very often. Guess we will just have to keep it going until we have more participants. Latest Marmon News (Enquirer) has received rave reviews from the members I talked to at Hershey. They especially liked the story of the Finnish wedding. Will post corrections next issue.
