Pete Phillips Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 A 1938 Roadmaster owner in Australia is in need of some transmission parts for his car. I thought I had these parts, but mine are not the correct ones. Looking for the First/Reverse idler gear, (see photo) and the cluster gear/shaft as shown in the attached photos. He is in a hurry, trying to get this done in time for his daughter's wedding. Any help appreciated. In the photo of the single gear, I need to replace the one on the left; the one on the right does not fit. It has a different pitch to the gear teeth. Pete Phillips, BCA #7338
Pete Phillips Posted August 22, 2017 Author Posted August 22, 2017 P.S. I do have a used 1937 Century transmission. I have not torn into it yet. Does anyone know if its gears would be the same as a 1938 Roadmaster transmission? Pete

50jetback Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 (edited) Pete, My Master Parts List ( 1928 to 1946 models ) shows the following - in case you can't see it clearly it gives the same part number for these transmission parts as fitting 1937 - 38 - 39 60 - 80 - 90 and 1940 60 - 70 - 80 - 90 so parts from the 1937 Century box should be the same as you are after.
