Guest john cragg Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 (edited) Help please! I recently bought a stalled restoration of what I believe is a 1926 President - it has 6 lug disc wheels, rod operated brakes, the drums are approx 14.6". Unfortunately the front brake shoes were lost years ago. Does anyone have a set of four or any idea where they can be found. I'm in Qld Australia but quite happy to freight from world wide. Ozstatman Posted August 18, 2017 Posted August 18, 2017 (edited) G'day John, Not a Stude guy, but you could try the Studebaker Club of Australia - http://www.studebakercarclub.net/ Or there are also a number of regional(State) Studebaker clubs too, link to Qld club - http://www.studebakerqld.org.au/ And post on the Studebaker Forum here on the AACA Website. It's further down the page, but here's a link - http://forums.aaca.org/forum/21-studebaker-erskine-rockne/ Edited August 18, 2017 by Ozstatman Insert link to Stude Forum (see edit history)
Larry Schramm Posted August 18, 2017 Posted August 18, 2017 Will the recent aggressive enforcement of asbestos coming into Australia have any affect on getting shoes from overseas? Wish I could help, but not a Studebaker guy.
Guest john cragg Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 Thanks Larry, I'm certain it will have an effect and be a very big pain, I would prefer to buy a set with no linings if coming from outside Oz then get them lined here.
