I only have the 24 and 25 master parts books  so don,t know if 23 is the same.  Leif might look up his parts books.  This 22 was for sale in Melbourne a while back,  but I didn,t  keep the contact details which I am now regretting .  I was seriously  considering buying what he had but it would have been two 5000 km  ( 3000 mile ) trips.

A helical bevel gear set cheaper than 1500 AUD/1200 USD? Best of luck to you.

Not sure the cost but there are a number of companies around aus that will still cut custom gears for you, some of them even advertise that they do it for veteran and vintage cars.

James,

Aus could be a problem. Disassembly  might be an option.

Also what model 23 do you have?

The short wheelbase 118" (41,44,45,46) has a smaller diff. than the 124" (48,49,50 54,55),  also the brakes, gear ratio, and wheel bearings are different.

The 124" wheelbase came out as a,   7 passenger Model 23-49,   a 4-5 passenger Sport Touring Model 23-55,  and a Sport Roadster Model 23-54,  The Sport Touring had the inbuilt trunk on the back.  The Sport Touring also had the wooden spoke steering wheel and a different dash and gauges to the Model 45

James ,

Looks like a 1923 model 45 .  Nice car, looks like you have been busy already. Do you still need the bearings?
