Greetings from Australia!

My waiting finally paid off and I have been able to secure a good clean original.

ROA-Newsletter-Oct-2015.pdf

There are a few images and comments on this car in various places in pages 3 - 9, and I have posted a few photos of it in my profile and on the photos thread.

Mine is the dark aqua one imported to Australia by John Slater in 2009.

Thank you for the warm welcome.  From what I have noticed, the people who import these into Australia are either collectors with connections, or seasoned restorers the really know what they are doing.

There are a lot of amazing cars here too but I not they all come from the US of A.  I look forward to being a regular here.

BTW I am originally from the US and can remember both my grandfathers always drove Buicks.   It must be a genetic trait!

I've got family I never yet met in beautiful Australia. Someday.

Been to Perth, loved it.

Enjoy the forum. Great people and knowledge here.

I recently heard it was getting almost impossible to import an old car because of laws about toxic materials such as asbestos in old cars.

What is the story from down under?

Thank you for the warm welcome - I came here for a visit and a look in 1986 from California and never looked back!

Barney, what you are saying I think is true and I do not know all the details except that it is mainly about asbestos.  I had been thinking about importing one myself but decided it is all getting too hard here, a really pity.
