Trolling through the various ads searches this morning and this appeared. These aren't mine and on the other side of country to us but may be of interest to someone

Greetings Rod,

i tried to reply to your email, but i dunno, could not make it work:angry:

My Ash wires are running 23 x 5-00 tyres, they are currenty "slave tyres" as i will purchase new white walls once the car is finished.
I have enclosed a couple of photos for your reference. I hope they help.

Regards

David

how much ?? is stuff like this

Would like to know as well

These are on ebay but are for the smaller 4 cylinder Buick

Looking at ebay in the USA the ASKING price seems to range from US$250 per wheel up to US$500 per wheel.

And if you read through this

it discusses wire wheels in some detail including some prices on hubcaps.

Stuart,

Are those the  24" wheels  that were on the Gumtree add.  I have a set of  22" Ash wire wheels for my 25 Master,  but they are in poor condition. There,s a 21" wheel in Victoria at the moment for $250,    Those four cylinder wheels are advertised for $1500.   I have a number of hubs that look identical,  but some fit the 22" wheels and others the wheels won,t quite fit on.  Maybe the hubs that don,t fit are  four cylinder or Standard car hubs.  I don,t feel like buying the $1500 wheels then find  they are the wrong size.  Let me know if you decide to sell the 24" wheels.

Rod,

I got my wheels from a friend who had a 1924 McLaughlin and I was going to use them on a race car replica project - see photo.

The " handbrake " has reminded me I have a few things on the go so this planned project may not eventuate.

In the meantime I decided I would like to fit a set of Kelsey Hayes wire wheels and spinners on my 1955 Buick Super convertible and thought some Prewar Buick enthusiast in the USA may have a set that they may like to do a swap for my ASH wheels and lock nuts/hubcaps.

I don't want to sell the wheels and caps but am looking to trade them for a set of 1955 Kelsey Hayes wires which would mean I could scratch the race car project idea ( don't think another set of wires will turn up ) and get the upgrade of wheels for my 55.

Sounds simple!!!
