Cord Blomquist Posted August 3, 2017 Posted August 3, 2017 I have this Packard tail light listed for sale as fitting 1929, 1930, 1931, and 1932, but another eBay user said this was incorrect. Does this only fit a 1931 or 1932? Can anyone provide photos, almanac notes, or original sales material that would provide definitive proof? https://whiteglovecollection.com/product/packard-tail-light-1929-1930-1930/
SSMcDonald Posted August 4, 2017 Posted August 4, 2017 Here's what the 1927 343-290 tail light looks like. Red is running light. Amber is brake light. White is backup, but only works when headlights are on. 1927 is nickel plate. 1928 and newer would be chrome plate. Steve
DavidMc Posted August 4, 2017 Posted August 4, 2017 That taillight fits 1929 6th Series cars and some earlier models - others can confirm the earliest. Definetly not 1930 7th Series , or later. The 7th Series has a profile mimicking the radiator top profile. It was also used on other makes such as Chrysler but with a Chrysler insignia inscribed.
West Peterson Posted August 9, 2017 Posted August 9, 2017 It also fits Stearns-Knight, and possibly other makes.
