Guest Brian729 Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 Hi. Can anyone identify these hubcaps? I've searched through several sites with no luck. Thanks!
Guest BillP Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 Early to mid-sixties Chrysler. Turn it so the emblem looks like a "C".
Guest Brian729 Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 Wow. I can't believe I didn't see that! Thanks a lot!!
keiser31 Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 Maybe 1962 Chrysler. Those emblems look to be added later.

They look like fender or "C" pillar emblems off of a Windsor, maybe. They are indeed Chrysler covers and Chrysler emblems. I just don't think they were originally mated. Guest Brian729 Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 Thanks again for everyones help. I really appreciate it! Is it unusual for emblems to be added to hubcaps like that?
keiser31 Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 Here is a similar "C" with 3 crowns, emblem on a 1965 Chrysler.
Guest BillP Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 And these are listed as for a '64 New Yorker, they were close but not exact so I didn't pin it on them. On a larger image the medallion is the same but of course the cap itself varies in some respects.

A bit different than the metal emblems on the caps in question.
Guest BillP Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 Straying a little off topic, while looking at endless Google images of hubcaps, I could not help but imagine the poor, beleaguered designer in charge of these hubcaps. Tearing his hair out, dragging at his cigarette, ripping his tie off, wondering what on earth he was going to do that would be original yet traditional, streamlined and racy yet posh, and most of all: cheap!
Guest Brian729 Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 Bill P, I was thinking the same thing as I searched through what seemed like 1000's of images of hubcaps.
