33Crazy Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 Is there anyone that knows the difference between the 1933 Plymouth 4dr seat springs and the 1933 Ford Fordor seat springs.
Paul Dobbin Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 Those two Coupes oictured have the same front seat as our 1934 Ford Fordor.
SC38dls Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 Too my old eyes those two seats are close but not the exact same seat. Look at the side board (if that is the proper term) the Ford is longer than the Plymouth. It may or may not make a difference. Again maybe just my old eyes 1
Dave Mellor NJ Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 As I said I couldn't find 4dr pix but the coupe seats show more than a little difference between the makes. The pattern, the backing at the top, the adjustment handle
Paul Dobbin Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 One seat appears to be like original and the other on the same frame is a restoration with a slight different pattern. With the proper seat frame, your upholstery guy can make the material & pattern match whatever you want. If you have a picture of the original and the right frame, you're in business.
46 woodie Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Any good upholstery shop can replicate a seat if you can provide a picture. Are you building a car for judging purposes? Many rare vehicles that did not have an interior and had no chance at finding one have had their interior built from scratch. I would take a tape measure to a car show and WITH THE OWNERS APPROVAL take some measurements.
