Roadhog1951 Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 (edited) I know this has been discussed many times before but has anyone come up with replacement reservoir for a '56 with power brakes?? Edited July 12, 2017 by Roadhog1951 spell (see edit history)
Beemon Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 The Mr Gasket reservoir can be made to fit in the same spot with flat stock and a drill motor.
Beemon Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 https://m.summitracing.com/parts/mrg-3701 The only problem is a one way check valve but you just have to reroute the vacuum lines. Ideally any coffee can will work, too, if it's sealed and has a barb fitting on it. I just found this the easiest to work with. What's wrong with your current tank?
MrEarl Posted July 13, 2017 Posted July 13, 2017 I may have a spare tank. Would rather sell it with the master though. Like Ben said, what's wrong with your tank?
Roadhog1951 Posted July 13, 2017 Author Posted July 13, 2017 (edited) I'm needing the aluminum FLUID reservoir,,, not the vacuum canister! Sorry for the confusion. Edited July 13, 2017 by Roadhog1951 spell (see edit history)
Beemon Posted July 13, 2017 Posted July 13, 2017 Ouch! Without buying a new master cylinder, you could always try tapping the master cylinder and putting a plastic reservoir on the fender with a rubber hose... or make one out of steel tubing and tap it to fit the old cap. 1
arnier Posted August 3, 2017 Posted August 3, 2017 I had mine made on a Cnc machine. Perfect repo. Cost me 200$ or so.
