nick8086 Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 (edited) Couple globetrotting for 17 years heading home with 4 kids as souvenirs.. Herman and Candelaria Zapp never imagined when they set out on a six-month road trip to drive from Argentina to Alaska that they’d arrive back home more than 17 years later. http://globalnews.ca/news/3207684/couple-globetrotting-for-17-years-heading-home-with-4-kids-as-souvenirs/ Edited July 11, 2017 by nick8086 (see edit history)
Restorer32 Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 They were at Hershey years ago. Novel way to sell books and solicit donations.
DLynskey Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 Nowhere in the articles does it say what kind of car it is. I guess only a car nut would be interested in that. Don

Don 1928 Graham-Paige....taken from the article.... “The idea was six months … It looked like enough time to go to Alaska and come back and have a family, and have kids and have a normal life,” he says from an auto shop where the family’s 1928 Graham-Paige was getting a tune-up and having the wooden spokes on its wheels inspected. Sorry, guess I missed that.
keiser31 Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 It was not easy to find. It took me a few minutes.
Guest Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 To car nuts it is obvious that it is a Graham Paige, especially with the front view. I recognized it immediately the first time I saw in on Vancouver Island years ago when they were "bumming" around here. Great story, especially remembering all the locals (around the world) that helped with money and repairs. An old car sure draws attention.
